Support: SiteHub OS

What this app is

SiteHub OS is a site-operations platform for construction companies (road, infrastructure and building contractors). Each company that uses it ("your Company") has its own private workspace; the platform is hosted by the Operator (SGF Infra Private Limited). Site engineers, drivers and office staff use it for:

  • attendance punch with GPS geofence and face verification (drivers: once-a-day selfie punch from anywhere, no geofence),
  • vehicle assignment and periodic location sharing (about every 2 hours, plus when the app is opened or attendance is marked) of company vehicles and their drivers (only for members whose administrator has switched "Track location" on),
  • site diary and daily progress report (DPR) with geo-tagged photos,
  • site cash (imprest): expenses with invoice photos, payment requests and approvals,
  • material stock, material requests, purchase orders and receipts,
  • equipment allocation and diesel/fuel entries,
  • task schedule (WBS) and progress,
  • to-do / snag lists,
  • drawings with versions and approvals,
  • BOQ and sub-contractor work orders.

It is available as a web app at https://smartsite.sgfinfra.com and as the "SiteHub OS" app on the App Store and Google Play. Both use the same account.

How to get access

  • Accounts are created only by your Company's administrators. There is no sign-up screen.
  • If your Company uses SiteHub OS and you need access, ask your project manager or the office administrator. You will receive a login (your mobile number) and a temporary password. Change the password after first login under Me > Password.
  • If your company does not use SiteHub OS yet and would like to, contact the Operator at karang@sgfinfra.com; a company is onboarded by the Operator and its first administrator then creates the accounts.
  • If you are not associated with a company that uses SiteHub OS, the app is not available to you.

First-time setup checklist

  1. Install the app from the App Store / Google Play, or open the web address in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone).
  2. Sign in with your mobile number and password.
  3. Allow Camera and Location (While using the app) when asked. Turn on precise location.
  4. Enrol your face under Me > Face (up to 3 clear photos, one face, good light). Your administrator may do this with you.
  5. Allow notifications if you want approval and to-do alerts.
  6. Drivers and other tracked members only: when your administrator has switched "Track location" on for you, the app shows a notice explaining tracking and then asks for background location: choose Allow all the time (Android; the phone opens its settings page for this) or Always (iPhone), with precise location on. A "SiteHub OS: Sharing your location with your company" notification stays visible while tracking runs; do not dismiss or force-stop the app while on duty. On Android, if tracking stops when the screen is off, set the app's battery usage to "Unrestricted" (App info > Battery).

How drivers mark attendance

If your account is in driver mode, open Punch once a day, take the selfie and submit. There is no site to choose and no geofence: the punch works from wherever you are, but the selfie must be of you and taken live (face verification still applies). Your location trail for the day is recorded separately by the tracking feature, not by the punch. If you see "Outside site geofence" as a driver, your account is not in driver mode yet; ask your administrator.

Common problems

ProblemWhat to do
"Incorrect mobile number or password"Check the number has no country code and no spaces. Ask your administrator to reset the password.
"Account temporarily locked"10 wrong passwords lock the account for 30 minutes. Wait, then try again or ask for a reset.
"Face not enrolled" on punchEnrol under Me > Face, or ask your administrator.
"Face did not match"Remove sunglasses/mask, face the camera in good light, hold the phone at eye level. If it keeps failing, re-enrol with better photos.
"Outside site geofence"Move to the site area; GPS indoors can be off by 50 to 100 m. Check precise location is on. If the site location or radius is wrong, ask your administrator to fix it in project settings.
"Self punch is disabled for your account"Your administrator has turned off self-punch for you; attendance is marked by your supervisor.
Office says my vehicle is not on the map / trail has gapsPoints are sent about every 2 hours and when you open the app or punch, so a gap of up to the interval is normal; opening the app sends a fresh fix. Check Me > tracking status. Make sure location is "Allow all the time" / "Always" with precise location, the phone has signal and battery, battery optimisation is off for the app (Android), and the app has not been force-stopped or uninstalled. Points made while offline are queued and sent when the connection returns.
I want tracking switched offAsk your administrator: Settings > Members > Track location. You can also remove the background location permission in your phone's settings; the office will see that reporting has stopped. See the Terms of Use for what applies while on duty.
"Mock location" or spoofing flag on my trail or punchUninstall any fake-GPS app and turn off Developer options > "Select mock location app". Rooted or modified phones may be flagged.
Camera or location permission deniedAndroid: long-press the app icon > App info > Permissions. iPhone: Settings > SiteHub OS. For the web app: browser site settings for the domain.
"You are offline"Reconnect and retry. Mobile-app entries made offline are queued and sent when the connection returns.
Photo upload failsCheck connection and file size (photos are resized automatically; PDFs must be under the size limit shown).

How to report a problem

  • Account, role, permission, face enrolment, driver mode and tracking questions are handled by your Company's administrator (your project manager or office); the Operator cannot change these for you.
  • App faults (crashes, errors, sync or upload problems): email the Operator at karang@sgfinfra.com with: your Company name, your name, mobile number, phone model and OS version, app version (shown under Me), what you did, what happened, and a screenshot if possible.
  • Do not send your password by email or message. Nobody from your Company or the Operator will ever ask for it.

Response time: the Operator acknowledges within 1 working day and aims to resolve or give a plan within 3 working days (Monday to Saturday, IST). Attendance-blocking issues are treated as urgent.

Security issues

If you find a security weakness in the app, email karang@sgfinfra.com with details. Do not test against other users' data.
